Thiruvananthapuram: Media houses which went into a spate of spreading canards against Rashtreeya Swayamsevak Sangh have now taken a reverse gear and have started donning the apology mantle, when gravity of the issue struck them.

The latest propaganda indulged in by media against RSS is the organization’s so called declaration of bestowing a reward of two lakh rupees along with Veera Prasavini award on women who would give birth to more than two children. Media houses had added that the decision was taken by RSS Sarsanghchalak Mohan Bhagwat in a Baithak. Along with the news was an added propaganda of “RSS having decided to steer clear temple premises and vicinity of merchants belonging to other religions, who indulged in trade.” However, with RSS stepping up to initiate legal measures, media houses made a mad scramble, seeking apology from the world’s largest non- governmental organization.

Spreading canards against RSS has been the latest ploy of a set of state media houses. The recent expose was that of Kairali People TV which accused the RSS of “having manhandled a Dalit for having entered a temple”. However, with the alleged victim himself coming out into the open, the Marxist ploy of defaming RSS stood exposed. Other incidents like the ones that took place in Dadri, death of Dalit children in Haryana etc are incidents where a set of media houses swooped down with baseless allegations against the RSS.

Another instance is that of Nirmal Khatri the Congress leader from UP who manipulated pictures and posted the same on social media, along with the fabricated story that a Swayamsevak had snatched a chain, during relief operations in Chennai. With an FIR filed by RSS, Khatri found himself in troubled waters.

This is being countered with rising protests from various parts of the country. It also serves to expose yet again, how efforts at maligning RSS is failing miserably, as always.
