Mata Amritanandamayi Madhom Caters to Relief Work in JK; to Construct Homes in Flood Ravaged Areas

Kochi: Mata Amritanandamayi Madhom has announced the construction of homes for those who have lost their dwelling, in the recent floods that ravaged Jammu and Kashmir. In a recent meeting with Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, Madhom Sanyasi Swami Nijamrita Chaitanya ensured that all necessary steps will be taken by the Madhom in this direction. Districts like Bandipore, Bagdam have been visited by members of the ashram, where seva work has been going on in full swing. The Chief Minister has been appraised of the same, by ashram members.

As part of service activities, an extensive team from Amrita Institute of Medical Science comprising of specialist doctors, dental surgeons and veterinary doctors have been offering services from the time life was disrupted in the valley by ravaging floods. The team of doctors are being aided in their task by latest technology and teams that cater to tele-medicines, emergency ambulances, eco- cardiography, gastroscopy, retinal camera, ultra-sonography, minor operation theatre, electro-cardiograhy, light microscopy, cardiac facilities, emergency units etc.
