Thiruvananthapuram: The state government will get a taste of the strength of Hindu community if it does not acknowledge the charter of rights in three weeks as promised, said state general secretary of Hindu Aikya Vedi Kummanam Rajashekharan.

Emphasizing that temple administration should be handed over to Hindus, he said that “It is high time a declaration on temple administration is done. Management should be transferred to devotees henceforth. Officers of various devaswom boards are so keen on usurping the inestimable wealth coming from temples. They are indulging in nothing but loot. This cannot be allowed any further,” said Kummanam Rajashekharan delivering the key address at the conclusion of Hindu Aikya Vedi’s four day remonstration in front of the Secretariat.

Highlighting that the Hindu community has sought redress of 169 prime points, Kummanam said that along with due share in realms of education, socio-ecomic sphere, Hindu community should be given its due esteem. “The state’s wealth has been written off for the minority community. And because of this, Kerala’s Hindus have reached a stage where they need to resort to remonstrations to get their due even in dwellings, food and water,” said Kummanam
