VHP to launch ‘Hindu Helpline’

· Date:January 24, 2011

A ‘Hindu Helpline’ offering assistance to Hindus in distress will be launched by the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) from April 4, the first day of the Hindu calendar year.

VHP general secretary Pravin Togadia made the announcement during a two-day all-India meet of the Bajrang Dal in Gwalior. The meeting, attended by more than 125 senior office-bearers of the VHP, ended on Sunday.

Once a call is made to this Pune-based helpline number, volunteers in places concerned will be alerted. From protecting cows to helping Hindus, the helpline promises to reach help in as early as 10 minutes.

The firebrand leader also said that the organization was thinking of starting a Hindu Advocate Forum to provide legal help to those who fight for the majority community’s issues. “Don’t bother about FIRs or going to jail,” he told the gathering. “When those working for Hindu cause are released from jail, welcome them with garlands.”

The VHP had launched a helpline last year in Kerala to help victims of what it called “Love Jehad”. The proposed helpline will operate on a much bigger scale.

The meet called upon volunteers to expand the organisation’s reach by enrolling as members the computer-literate as also those working in agricultural fields.

The volunteers were told to keep a watch on cow slaughter by focusing on national and state highways, and increase contacts to stop transport of cows meant for slaughter.

Among the year-long programmes announced on the occasion by Togadia was Hindu Swarozgar Abhiyan (Hindu Employment Campaign) under which the volunteers will teach at least one employment generating activity to Hindus — to counter the Muslims “whose population is growing very fast and who are cornering employment opportunities”.

The volunteers were also called to visit colleges and create awareness against Jehad.

I am really thankful to VHP and Togodiaji to think a programme like this. At present we have enough advocates, chartered accountants, doctors, industrialists etc. Try to make a forum for all of them . Thanking once again VHP and Togadiaji.

    Finally something happening.
Hindus are the majority community of India. There problems and concerns must be addressed effictively by Parties that are interested in helping them. This helpline is a good step. We need further of these steps to help Hindus across India. 5

    need of an hour
Advocate Forum is a need of an hour, I am sure Hindus will bear at least some % for advocacy from their own pocket rather than completely depending on VHP.
Waiting to read official announcement and name of Lawyers who will represent Hindus on behalf of Hindus. 5

    At last
At last our prayers are being answered. To whomsoever this idea struck, should be welcomed. Hereafter, atleast even though not immediately, in the near future, the Hindus, who are divided politically, castewise, can be united.

Lets pray to God for the success for this new attempt to unite the Hindus 5

    VHP – Dhanyavaad
Our prayers are with VHP. Even last week while driving down from Bangalore to palakkad we saw a couple of trucks loaded with cattle meant for Kerala. When my 6 year old son asked me the reason for carting these cattle in such a manner I had to console him by telling him that they were being taken to a new home.

And the Islamic terrorists who exploded bombs in the russia airport were

It is not the Cow that must be harped on. Cow issue only makes us laughed more at, internationally.

Why not try the Poonkaavanam Sankalpa of the Ayyappa ideology instead? 5

    TV channel..
I wonder.. Why the VHP could not start a TV channel yet ?

What the VHP doing for the society and the country ? Ordinary Hindus does not know !! Only bad / negative news items are coming on the “so called natinal channels” !! So we should have our own TV channel to protect our interets as well as to spread our message to all Nation lovers…. I hope VHP will think about this and will launch a TV channel soon.

    Hindu Helpline
This should not only be regarding cow slaughter. See in this we are not helping any hindus. Instead we should really help the hindus, for their education, employment, hygiene, food, clothing etc., Old age homes for old people only hindus. Instead of spending money on this we can spend on having huge comfortable and hygiene temples so that our hindus dont think of converting. Every area should have a neat big temple like every 20 feet there is a mosque in kuwait. The temple should be utilised to improve that temple. Our temple funds are being used by politicians congiiis 5
