All our assumptions as soon as Pathankot attack began are proving to be right. The former White House official makes astute observations and blames where blame is due-ISI of Pakistan under control of Generals of Pakistan army who were enraged at peace process initiated by the Prime Minister of Pakistan,Nawaz Sharif who invited and embraced Narendra Modi during latter’s transit from Kabul to Delhi.

The attack has all the hallmarks of Mumbai , 26/11/2016 though scale may be different. It is planned, organized in Pakistan, executed in India , throughout the attack the terrorists were in communication with handlers in Islamabad thus It is clearly a message being sent to India by Pak army which is saying they will not be deterred by any peace process, India can have as many parleys as possible with Pakistan Prime Minister but they are a power to themselves, they do not care. And if India takes any other action than continuing the futile peace process, they are telling clearly Pak’s nukes are not meant of fireworks celebrating ‘shab e barat’.

Gauntlet is thrown in the ring. Narendra Modi genuinely wished like his predecessor Atal Behari Vajpayee to make peace with Pakistan. In a way it is good that Pak army made its intentions clear without wasting time rather than keeping quiet for a while, during which time India would have wasted lot of money in promoting peace process like what was done before with Agra summit.

This is not the time for mutual bickering among people of India especially political parties of India regardless how profound the dislike of some politicians and many in media towards Prime Minister Narendra Modi .

Nation comes first. There is a lesson here from M.S. Golwalkar, commonly known as Guruji of RSS. Nehru banned RSS on phoney charges. RSS volunteers suffered much during the ban, even after ban got lifted by a court order, Nehru continued relentlessly his vilification campaign, Yet when China attacked India, the reaction of Guruji was , ‘Nehru is our Prime Minister, let us strengthen his hands’. Nehru himself had to admit that they (RSS) too are patriots, when he invited RSS to participate in Republic day parade with him witnessing their march.

To day Pakistan is attacking, keeping aside mutual acrimony best is to evolve a strategy to give not only befitting reply but also to prevent further attacks of any kind from Pakistan.
