Paravoor: The state unit of Hindu Aikya Vedi has decided to launch its protest against the state government for deliberately hoodwinking and deceiving the Hindu community.

“The state government has sabotaged the official decision taken unanimously by leaders of Hindu organizations, ministers, chief secretary, secretaries of various departments, all in the presence of Chief Minister Oommen Chandy. However, since three years, the government has made the grievous mistake of cleverly postponing the clauses, under the guise of various excuses,” observed the Samiti, adding that the remonstration is a personification of the people’s voice against the anti-Hindu stance taken by the government and breach of promises.

The protests will be a five day remonstration, which will commence on 10 August and will go on till 14 August. As a prelude to this, padayatras in lieu of Conservation of Hindu Rights will be held in all panchayats of the state from 26 July to 2 August. Interactions with families will be done from 15 June to 15 July, where pamphlets elaborating the government’s anti-Hindu stand will be distributed.

A satyagraha will be conducted at the entrance of Secretariat on 24 June demanding that the government release a white paper regarding distribution and utilization of funds concerning SC/ ST and suspension of those officers in the state capital, who had secured PSC appointment with the aid of fake certificates. Seminars will also be conducted in places like Thiruvananthapuram, Ernakulam, Kozhikode etc in order to create awareness among citizens against malicious propaganda being spread against UAPA and those who are trying to secure their revoking.

Other pressing demands made by Hindu Aikya Vedi are investigations by NIA into the mysterious death of recent Love Jihad victim Anuja, handing over to the family of environmental activist Anoop (who was brutally murdered by CPM-quarry mafia nexus in Kuttiyadi, Kozhikode), a compensation of twenty five lakh rupees, withdrawal of government plan of acquiring 300 acres of land in Veliyathunaadu, for residential quarters for KINFRA.

The meeting was chaired by state president of Hindu Aikya Vedi Sasikala Teacher, state general secretary Kummanam Rajashekharan and Bhargav Ram etc.
