Senior RSS Leader Prof. N Rajasekharan Passes Away

Chengannoor: RSS Sabarigiri Vibhag Sanghchalak Prof N Rajashekharan Nair is no more. He was 69. The end came after prolonged cardiac ailments, for which was undergoing treatment since two years. The cremation ceremony will be held at 11.00 am this morning, in his residence.

Sahapranth karyavah M Radhakrishnan, in his condolence message has expressed that Prof Rajashekharan’s life always worthy of being emulated, for havingl exemplified his life, by making Sangh ideals an integral part of his life. “He had an inborn gift of expressing matters of high gravity in the simplest of terms. Prof Rajashekharan’s demise is a major loss in all spheres of life,” he said.
Prof Rajashekharan had shouldered responsibilities of Sanghchalak of Sabarigiri Vibhag, from the time of its inception, from 1989. Prior to this, he was RSS Chenganoor Taluk Karyavah, Alappuzha Jilla Baudhik Pramukh, Kottayam Vibhag Karyavah etc. He had served as Physics professor of NSS Colleges in Pandalam, Vazhoor, Changanassery. He had served a prison term of 14 months during the days of Emergency, for constituting the Lok Sangharsh Samiti.

Prof Rajashekharan is the son of Late CK Kesavan Nair and L Bharati Amma. He is survived by his wife R Radhamma, retd High School teacher, daughters Parvati & Maithreyi and sons-in-law Shambhu, prof at Amrita Engineering College & Sujith Gopinath.
