Kochi: Ruling front & Church in Kerala is trying to protect the clergyman who is said to have sexually abused the 14 year old girl. A complaint was lodged by the victim’s mother against 41 year old Fr Edwin Sigrez , of Lourde Matha Church of Kottappuram congregation.

According to the latest information, sources have stated that the Vicar is under covert in a secret hideout belonging to the Latin Catholic congregation. However, even though police have ample information about his whereabouts, they have refrained from making an arrest owing to stringent restrictions placed by higher ups. The Church is also said to be wielding a strong influence on matters of investigation.

The Vicar was allegedly raping the child since 3 months inside the church premises. The Vicar’s summoning of the child on a frequent basis aroused suspicions of other devotees, which led to questioning of the girl. A complaint was lodged by the girl’s mother thereafter.

Sources have also indicated that the Vicar was in the habit of regularly summoning women and girl children solitarily. He has an active presence on Facebook as well. It is said that a lot of pressure is being mounted upon the girl’s family in withdrawing her complaint.

The lady teacher took the matter seriously and informed about it to the colleagues. In the evening, they decided to take the matter to us. While we inquired from the girl about the incident, several other girls narrated the same plight. Duplicitous attitude of Kerala Government
The actions of Kerala Government to stifle the process of law are highly deplorable and deserve public condemnation. I understand that the MSM shall not take up the case, so the platform of Social Media should be used to inform the hypocrisy of Christian society, when it fails to censor its own priests who are involved in such dastardly acts.

    Not surprising…
Not surprising since sexual abuse has been the forte for the Church, the bait being Christ. The cover up is again not surprising, if this news come out it could seriously affect cash flows leading to Kerala missing out Vatican’s targets. Besides, one wonders how many of these guys have skeletons that could tumble out.
