Fraud & Forgery in Manjeswaram Election – HC summons 259 Voters Based on K Surendran’s Complaint

Kochi: The Kerala High Court has issued summons to 259 voters of 2016 state assembly elections, from Manjeswaram constituency, to appear before Court, following a plea submitted by BJP state general secretary K Surendran alleging mass fake voting in the same constituency. The case was filed by Surendran against PB Abdu Razak, the candidate who won from Manjeswaram, to whom Surendran lost by 89 votes. The cross examination of those accused will begin on 8 June.

Surendran has contended that votes of all 259 voters have been done by their imposters, as they were not present there and are living abroad. “The petition has also sought to make clear if these 259 persons whose names have been listed as voters are still alive,” said sources. Surendran has therefore sought nullifying the  results announced.
