Kumbh Mela, 2010 is about to close

As you all know, Kumbh Mela, 2010 is about to close on 28th April, 2010 after the last snan ( bath ) “ Vaisakh Aadhimaas Purnima Snan,  Kumbh Mela, 2010 started on 14th January, 2010 attracting crores of people in Hardwar, lying on the banks Holy River Ganga.

 Main Snan / Bath was on 14th April, 2010. According to Government Reports, about 1.5 Crores of people visited the Mela for taking a bath in Ganga on 14th April,2010. Government of Indian state of Uttaranchal, under which Haridwar comes, have made elaborate arrangements for the smooth running of the Mela. We salute all the 15,000 police personnel, home guards and other civilian departments of the Government of Uttaranchal for successfully manning the crores of Hindu brothers and Sisters who visited the Mela with minimum causalities and deaths.
