Inauguration of first Arya Updeshak Vidyalay in Kerala

It is glad to inform you that an Updeshak Vidyalay (similar to Brahma Upadeshak Vidyalay, Hisar,Haryana) inaugurated at Thiruvilwamala in Kerala on 23 Apr 2015 (The birth day of Adi Sankaracharya).

This Gurukul is named as Pandit Rishiram Aryopadeshak Mahavidyalay (first ever Arya Upadeshak Vidyalay of Arya Samaj in Kerala) dedicated to the immortal Arya Missionary, Pt.Rishiram ji who reached in Kerala during Mopallah rebellion (1921) and started Arya Samaj works here. Pt.Rishiram Ji was a fresh graduate from famous DAV College, Lahore and Mahatma Hansraj ji deputed him to Kerala for evacuation works and Vedaprachar here in the year 1921.

Mahatma Anand Muni inaugurated the Gurukul after the Yagya. Dr.PK Madhavan who is a noted educationist and former President of Vidya Bharathi Akhil Bharatheey Shikshan Sansthan presided over the function. Acharya Vamdev Arya Ji gave blessing speach. Acharya Heera Prasad Shasthri (Acharya of Pt.Lekhram Arsh Gurukul Mahavidyalay, Vellinezhi), Muni Hari Ram, Ishwar Singh Arya, Subhash Arya, Smt.Vishnu Devi Arya, Smt. Rajabala Arya (all are from Hisar, Haryana), Sreedhara Muni, parents of brahmacharis who got admission also spoke on the occassion. KM Rajan Adhishtatha of the Gurukul welcomed the audience and V Govinda Das (Pradhan, Arya Samajam Vellinezhi) gave thanks giving speech.

This Gurukul will conduct the courses of Vidya Vachaspathi and Veda Vachaspathi and the eligibility for admission is pass in Matric or Higher Secondary exam with Sanskrit as a subject. Admission will be given to only those who wish to become a full time Arya Pracharak and ready to work any state/place as directed by the Acharya on successful completion of the course. The syllabus will include Ashtadhyayi Vyakaran, literatures of Maharshi Dayanand, Darshanas, selected upanishads, comparative study of religions, computer etc. Education,food and boarding will be provided free of cost.
