Hinduisation of the church

via GSK Menon published on September 14, 2011

The rapid Hinduisation of the Church by way of imitating Hindu temple customs and rituals is continuing strong. There is a report that the Vallarpadom Basilica in Cochin has introduced a Hindu custom observed in temples – ADIMA. This custom is for dedicating a child or a person to the particular temple deity and for the rest of his life he is under the protection of that deity. Is there any such concept in christianity ? Even in the headquarters of Jerusalem there is no such concept. Hindu temple customs are being blindly copied even in defiance of the biblical instructions.

Another news item that I came across is that the Choristers Association of the Church of South India(CSI) organised a Satha Keerthana Sangeetaarchana. Christianity does not have any concept of “Keerthanas” nor “Archana” in the form of Sangeetham. These are all 100% Hindu concepts, and Hindu way of worship. In fact the use of musical instruments in worship is prohibited in the desert religions. Islam and Judaism does not use any musical instruments in worship. Pure christianity does not permit use of musical instruments, moreover Hindu form of Keertanas, archana are all denounced and prohibited. Why keep imitating when you can proudly return to Hinduism ?
