via HK published on June 4, 2010

Kochi: Hindu, Christian and Rationalist organisations deplored the actions of Jihadi terrorists against Christians in the state. The Press meet accused Government for bowing into the pressure of Jihadi’s. The combined Catholic Federation of India, Hindu Aikya Vedi and Yukthivadi Sangham.

According to Press Meet

Jihadi attack against Christians is on the rise. Jihadi’s unleashed violence in Thodupuzha in the name of a Question paper abusing their Prophet, and carried out vicious campaign against Christianity. Following Jihadi pressure, Four Christian pastors were arrested and jailed for two months for publishing a book criticising Islam. Recently Jihadi’s attacked New Jyothi Publications  owned by Christians for publishing the picture of their prophet. Many provocative posters under the  title ‘Islam Challenging’ is widely published in Christian Majority areas. The meet criticised Government for their inaction against Islamic publications which ridicule Christianity and Hinduism and their one sided actions against Christians.

Catholic Federation of India National President Advocate P P Joseph, Hindu Aikya Vedi State Secretary R V Babu and Yukthivadi Sangham leaders Abdul Ali and T Parameswaran were present in the Press Meet.

HK’s Concerns

1)Will this Catholic Federation of India come forward to condemn Christian Missionary activities to convert Hindus in such a combined Press Meet.
2)If Hindus are targeted by Jihadi’s will they show the magnanimity of Hindu organisations and come forward to deplore it?
3)If a Christian Missionary publish a book to malign Hinduism with evil intention, will HAV be able to protest against it?
