Guruvayur Devaswom Board or Guruvayur Communist Board ?

via HK published on October 4, 2007

GURUVAYUR: The Pratikaranavedi and the Guruvayur Devaswom Employees Association have urged the devaswom managing committee to revoke its decision to hike the rates for kalabham offering at Sree Krishna temple.

Pratikaranavedi convenor Venu Pazhoor alleged that the three-fold increase in the kalabham rates showed the inefficiency of the committee and has affected the ordinary devotees.

Devaswom Employees Association secretary C V Vijayan pointed out that the improper calculation of the production cost had resulted in the heavy increase of kalabham offering charges.

The association had earlier sought interference of the High Court in the issue and the court had issued directions to the devaswom regarding the production and distribution of kalabham, but the devaswom was yet to implement court directions, said Vijayan.

The association leaders also submitted a fresh memorandum in this regard to the managing committee recently, said Vijayan.

Guruvayur Communist Board have much more pressing issues to consider like The Entry of Christians and Muslims to Temple, Should the female devotees wear Midi or Mini’s or Micro’s as Chudidar will also become outdated as Sari soon, How much money should be deposited in Catholic Syrian bank and Communist Co-Operative Banks, Needs time to monitor the faults and inefficiency of Thantri’s, Have to arrange all facilities for Christian Missionaries who visit’s the Temple complex to give Krishna’s old and poor devotees a new life in their old age homes and so on… Amidst all these serious issues how can our comrades who control the Temple affairs have time to look into silly matters like price reduction of Kalabham ?
