Ganga Sanskriti Pravah Yatra to protect our Sacred river

Varanasi: Ganga Mahasabha will launch 99 day Ganga Sanskriti Pravah Yatra to protect our sacred river Ganga from degradation.‘Save Ganga Campaign’ is initiated under Ganga Mahasabha told Acharya Vishnu, national secretary of Ganga Mahasabha.

Gross neglect and rampant corruption at all levels in different state governments is largely responsible for the unabated pollution of the country’s most sacred river.We have reason to believe that billions of rupees have been pilfered in the name of ridding Ganga of pollution; this campaign is aimed at exposing this as well told Acharya Vishnu .

RSS Sarsangchalak K C Sudarshan will perform special Ganga Puja at the Rajendra Prasad Ghat, while BJP leader Advani will address a gathering at Rajghat on February 17.

Ganga Sanskriti Pravah Yatra will start from the Gangasagar where the river merges into the seaon February 1 and and go all the way up to the river’s source at Gangotri. on Akshay Tritiya day- May 8 after traversing through 32 locations on the banks of the river including Kolkata, Munger, Patna, Buxar, Ghazipur.

The yatra will later go to Allahabad, Kanpur, Muzaffarnagar, Rishikesh, Devprayag, Tehri, Uttarkashi before culminating at Gangotri on May 8.

Hindu Spiritual leaders from 32 countries, including four Shankaracharyas, Yoga Guru Ramdev, Sri Sri Ravi Shankar Ramjanmbhoomi Trust president Mahant Nritya Gopal Das, and Swami Avdheshanand are expected to join the yatra.
