Fourth Estate’s Secular Balancing acts!

published on December 29, 2013

In the print edition The New Indian Express on 27th December 2013, following headline is on the ‘ FRONT PAGE ‘ .

Retired SC Judge to Probe Gujarat Snoopgate – 27th December 2013

Tucked away inside Page 9, is the report –

” Court Accepts SIT’s Clean Chit to Modi “.

‘ NEHRUVIAN SECULARISM ‘ at its HEIGHT !!

In context, its worth recalling a senior journalists ‘ words of wisdom ‘, published in a ‘SECULAR ENGLISH DAILY’ recently :  ” In wide swathes of middle India, the media’s reputation is mud. It is easily linked to cronyism, corruption, megalomaniac editors, half-baked information, and now molestation and rape “.

That’s precisely what, ‘ Nationalist ‘ Ramnath Goenka’s paper has ‘ secularly ‘ done, in this case today !

The Aam Aadmi has seen through this ‘ secular game of deceit ‘.

But, in their overweening arrogance, the Fourth Estate is ‘ BLIND’ to the writing on the wall !!

Keep up your ‘SECULAR BALANCING ‘ – Sir !!

    Fourth estate
In the beginning of nineties there was a campaign against Reliance and Ambany by Indian express when Sri Ramnath Goyenka was alive. The reason, I later read is the allegation by Sri Ambani that any journalist can be bought with right price. Sri Goyenka with the help of S.Gurumurthy tried to prove it wrong. Now no such didicated media barons are there.
