KOCHI: Reliable sources stated that Sam Christy, who was the DySP of Ernakulam Narcotic Cell, was the one who worked as ‘manager’ to godman, Amritha Chaithanya alias Santosh Madhavan, in the real estate business in Kochi. Christy has now been transferred to Alappuzha.
When Santhosh failed to pay the expenses of his second marriage reception held in Kochi on November 26 in 2007, Christy had abducted and threatened Kailas Nath, the one who conducted the reception, for demanding money. The special branch had registered a case against Christy in a fraud case in Ernakulam following Nath’s complaint.
