Palakkad: For the Marxists, defaming Bharat and anything associated with the nation’s culture seems to be a passion. The latest is a college magazine issued by NSS College, Ottapalam, where the SFI has derrogatorily refered to Bharatmata in the most obscene terms. The magazine has derided the sacred epics of Ramayana and Mahabharata and other Pauranic scriptures, along with contemptuous and lewd references to Hindu divine heads Lord Krishna and Lord Ganesha. Apart from this, the magazine has poked fun at the Father of Indian Nation, along with a host of anti national remarks.

The magazine, which was published last week, was published by SFI union with the name “Nameless Magazine”. The articles and write ups included in it have been planted with the deliberately malicious political agenda of denigrating nationalism and Bharat’s culture.

Scripts that ridicule Gandhi and a note referring to Bharat Mata as prostitute gigure in the obnoxious magazine. It is also apparent that certain references made to Bharat Mata are with the clear intent of fanning communal tensions. A typical anti-national quote by a smart alec reads thus, “If the cow is Mother of the Nation, wouldn’t the bull be Father of the Nation”.

The scorn and contempt poured on Ramayana and Mahabharata is boundless. Lord Krisha is referred to as “a person who adviced deceit to Arjuna? and one filled with cunning thought process”. Panchali has been portrayed as a “devout lady” “who shared her bed with five men”. Several such instances point out that these references have been made deliberately with the aim of fanning communal violence.

A reference to Lord Ganesh in the poem titled ‘ Black Humor’s speaks of how “Lord Ganesha became the first to undergo plastic surgery.”
