During his two-day visit to Kerala, BJP MP, Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) President and BCCI Secretary, Anurag Thakur, attended the ‘Sambhara Samvadam’ (SS) programme held at Thiruvalla in Pathanamthitta district on Saturday. He addressed the event and discussed various political issues as the State prepares for the upcoming elections.

Anurag Thakur highlighted the achievements of the NDA government in Kerala, such as the higher railway budget allotment as compared to the past UPA government. He also brought attention to the development plan of Chengannur railway station as a model pilgrimage station. The BJP MP also answered various questions on the performance of BJP government and other issues, including black money, petrol prices, corruption and cricket.

During the visit, Anurag Thakur addressed events in the Pathanamthitta and Alappuzha district, including Chengannur and Aranmula. As the election campaigns heat up in Kerala, many other leaders including JP Nadda, Rajiv Pratap Rudy, Nupur Sharma, Pratap Simha and Poonam Mahajan will be attending the SS programmes in the upcoming days.

The aim of the ‘Sambhara Samvadam’ is to create awareness about the good work done by Modi government, by bringing together BJP supporters who are active on the social media platforms and ground level. ‘Sambharam’ is a spicy version of buttermilk. The initiative has a catchy rhyming slogan, “Venal choodinu sambharam, sadbharanathinu samvadam,” which means, ‘sambharam for the summer heat, debate for good governance’.
