Sabarimala - Neglect and Loot

Inspite of reports about Headley and Rana planning to blow up Sabarimala and Guruvayur,the Kerala Govt.'s Fireforce Department insists that they will only serve the pilgrims for 20 days out of more than 60 days of pilgrimage.

Though decision was taken in the presence of Dewasom Minister that the services of Fireforce would be made available throughout the pilgrim season , but Fireforce department under Home Ministry denied the request and reported back that they will provide their services only during the last 10 days of Mandala kaalam and during the 10 days of Makaravilakku.

Along with this neglect government looting too continue unabated to exploit the pilgrims.

Electricity board charges Rs16/- per unit instead of Rs.3/- for each unit of electricity they supply to Sabarimala.Last year Dewaswom Board had to pay more than Rs. 4 crores as electricity bills.

Devaswom Board also has to pay for police services,security cover,water authority,health department and various other department for the services they provide during the Sabarimala Pilgrimage.


Sarge 20/11/2009 09:28:26	Find the reasons behind the decision It would be worth while to find out why Kerala Fire & Rescue Service said that they can only afford to provide service at Sabarimala for 20 days. There could be issues of man power shortage, vehicle & device shortage. Dont blame the Fire Brigade for every thing. They are working with very limited resources. An dont expect every Kerala fire-man to work 24 hours for the next 4 months without any additional incentive. He too is a human being.

WHY THE CENTRAL GOVT PAYING SUCH EXTRA CHARGES RELATED TO THE SPECIAL ARRANEMENTS IN CONSULATES, AIRPORTS, AND POSTING SEVERAL SPECIAL OFFICERS FOR HAJ PILGRIMAGE ? THIS KIND OF EXPENDITURES SHOULD NOT BE PAID BY THE GOVERNMENT. WHY DIFFERENT KIND OF TREATMENT FOR DIFFERENT RELIGIONS IN A SO CALLED "SECULAR" COUNTRY ? WHY HINDU ORGANISATIONS COULD NOT CHALLENGE THIS IN COURTS ? I THINK MR. SUBRAMANIAM SWAMY MAY RAISE THESE ISSUES ? Indian Government is misusing the tax payers money (majority of it is collecting form majority community itself)to a particular religion while looting the revenues of temples. This is totally injustice towards Hindus.

Our temples are the biggest Revenue earning sources for cash starved Kerala government.Dewaswam Board should make payments to Police, Electricity board for providing services to devotees! How many personnels were deployed in Kasargod? Whether the expenditure is remitted by Muslim Leaugue who created the situation?Kerala governemnt should pay Rs. 10000/- to each and every devotee visiting Sabarimala shrine as subsidy.
