What Vivekananda said was that, conversion is bad because when someone leaves Hinduism, Hindus not only loses a member but also gets an enemy. This is evident from the fact that most neo converts are usually hard core Hindu bashers too. You may be right about Christianity though. 5

But Christianity survives not on the strength of its philosophical or theological superiority or truth value over other religions but because of patronage from rulers of powerful nations for whom to perpetuate their hold on the common masses nothing else suits more than such tenets of Christianity as ‘poverty is a blessed state’ or ‘obey your masters as you would your (Christ) god’ Remove the state prop and it will fall down like a house of cards. For three hundred years Christianity appeared to be a very harmless creed. Even after the conversion of Constantine it remained more or less the same. But the world was fooled. Christianity showed its ugly visage when emperor Theodosius banned the practicing of all other religions. It was an admission that Christianity will not be able to compete in a religious market place and succeed on its on merit .Naturally the next course for the religious tyrants was to force it on the unwilling. And that practice has been continuing to this day, if not by force or, persecution, by fraud and propaganda. It was the first warning on the perils of Christianity but it was too late because by the time all ignorant men in entire Europe had been turned into ‘sheep’ and those who refused had been burned. A more apt metaphor to describe followers of Christianity than as a bunch of sheep always driven by their priests and therefore seemingly lacking capacity to think for themselves will be difficult to find. The new shepherd of Christian sheep of the world in place of the earlier European nations is the U.S. The Christian cross wrapped in U.S flag is their new mascot. No other country in the world except India allows the Christian fanatical U.S administration to meddle in its cultural and religious affairs. Precisely because this U.S backing of their religion -in-laws that why we see Christianity strutting on the Indian stage in an intimidating posture. 5

A book to be read with a paper and a pen in right hand for making own comments on the arguments.To point out similarities from the arguments destined to point out irreconcilable differences. To understand that actually all religions are same, even if many would try to convince their listeners or readers of the contrary. Religions have had at the beginning common roots, were used during thousands of years for more or less same purposes and in more or less same manners. And, to agree with Swami Vivekananda's opinion that "every man going out of Hindu pale is not only a man less , but an enemy more", means to be blind or not good minded, because such words are not for unifying people but to separate them. Like Jesus said: "I didn't come to bring you peace but to separate father from son". Same idea with other shape - just a small example of how close all religions are. I wait to see here also opinions, comments of others. 5
Sandeep 24/08/2009 03:26:14	Chattambi Swamikal This is a great book by Chattambi swamikal. All the arguements are irrefutable. Those who can read Malayalam, should read the Malayalam version as it is a pleasure to read his exact words. Every Hindu's home should have atleast one copy of this book to keep away the Evangelists. I have seen many, running for covers when faced with the arguements in the book. Hats off to this Great Yogi. A genius in 'tharka sastra' 5
