Congress fumes over Karnataka Government's support to Temples

BANGALORE: Congress party who never lost their sleep over Haj Subsidy by Central Government or Jerusalem Subsidy by late Evangelist CM of AP Samuel Reddy is very much worried over Karnataka Government's allocation of funds for Temple management.

Under BSY's leadership ruling BJP is gradually liberating the temples from Government control back to the hands of devotees and Hindu organisations. Also BJP government is returning the money ollected from temples for it's development.

Media Houses and Oposition are now in up in arms against BSY alleging that he is misusing 'PUBLIC FUNDS'. Those who cry from roof top about this misuse of 'PUBLIC FUND' should kindly enlighten us leaders that – Why they don't have any issues in flow of Temple money to Government coffers?. They have no problems in enriching the so called 'PUBLIC FUNDS' with temple funds but cries about death of Secularism if any Government decides to support these temples.

Undert BSY Karnataka Government had earlier handed over Vaidyanathewara temple in Gokarna to Ramachandrapur Mutt. The government also denotified Udupi's famed Sri Krishna temple from the list of scheduled temples and handed it over to Ashta Mutts (eight mutts) of Udupi.

Temples which received Government support this time are as follows

* Rs 5cr for Adichunchanagiri mutt in Nelamangala taluk, Mandya

* Rs 5cr for Renuka Yellamma temple in Saudatti, Belgaum

* Rs 5cr for development of Datta Peeta in Chikmagalur

* Rs 2cr for Madhvacharya Peeta in Udupi

* Rs 2cr for development of Venuoor Digambara temple in Dakshina Kannada

GRANTS IN 2010-11

* Rs 10cr for Kaginele Development Authority

* Rs 5cr for Shravanabelagola Bahubali temple complex

* Rs 5cr for extended work of Kudalasangama Development Authority

* Rs 5cr for balance works of Basava Kalyana Development Authority

* Rs 5cr for Adichunchanagiri Kshethra in Nagamangala taluk

* Rs 10cr for Yediyur Siddalingeshwara kshethra near Tumkur

* Financial aid to Mansarovar pilgrims enhanced to Rs 3cr

* Rs 2cr provided for development of Dattatreya Peetha of Devalagangapura in Gulbarga

* Rs 3cr for Someshwar Kshethra at Rambhapuri in Chikmagalur district

* Rs 1cr for Hariharpura Kshethra in Chikmagalur district

proudestkafir 13/03/2011 08:50:30	asinine hindus Must realise that the government has a plan to siphon off the money from the Hindu temples and [pass it on to moslem scum bags and christian cunning rats.All hindus coming here must pass on theinformation to all hindus you know of about this despicable secular disease .Just check where the money is paidin a temple and you shall find there a government employee who is either a msoelm scum bag or christian rat. This is as a rule in all the busy temples.The temples where the collection is more than a lakh a month, the governmen takes away all the money and returns a miserly sum of Rs 10000/ towards the up keeping of the temple and salary for the priests.Another hoax perpetrated on hindus is to appoint the SC/ST priests with no knowledge of sanskrit! If these fellows can become priests and occupy the traditional brahmin jobs, then why ask for reservation else where? Raj Puducode 12/03/2011 12:44:43	Down with secular goondas like Congress The Cabinet’s decision to increase the number of pilgrims availing the Haj subsidy and flying by the national carrier this year has had Air India fuming. For a carrier already reeling under Rs. 5,000-crore loss and burdened with severe employee-related issues, a welfare measure like this puts undue duress on it. Interestingly, Air India does not even get to set the amount of fare payable to the carrier transport-ing the pilgrims. This is set by the Saudi Arabia Airlines that also carries out the Haj duty. “The sheer volumes of people and logistics and resources that go in the Haj duties is huge” an official attached with the national carrier said. “Aircraft engaged in Haj duty have to first pick up pilgrims from the smaller towns which have been approved as part of the hub and spoke arrangement, and then after they drop the pilgrims to the final destination, they come back empty,” he added. Similarly, in order to pick up the pilgrims, the aircraft have to go to Jeddah empty, which results in an increase in expenditure. Any commercial airliner does not view huge aircraft flying empty favourably as it implies a loss in revenue. Last year, Air India had pitched for allowing private airlines to operate Haj flights, saying this could lead to a cut in fares and reduce the subsidy burden. An Indian Muslim, who chooses to go to Haj through government run Haj committees, gets a subsidy of around Rs. 20,000 on their Air India ticket of Rs. 32,000. The minimum cost of a Haj package through the Haj committees is around Rs. 92,000, of which Rs. 20,000 is paid by the Indian government to Air India as a subsidy on the Hajis ticket. The total Haj airline ticket subsidy was around Rs. 150 crore for the year 2001 and has been enmarked to Rs. 225 crores for the year 2005. It is interesting to note that the normal ticket to Arabia costs around Rs. 25,000 but Air India charges Rs. 34,000 from the Hajis. So, effectively the government is giving a subsidy of Rs. 12,000 5

This news from Karnataka was not seen much in any of our frontline media apparently for fear of putting words into mouths of the Hindus of other states.From the responses of readers on the blog it appeared that many Hindu morons do not still know that the Temple collections are knocked off by the govts.Haj subsidy,madarasa funding,pension for madarasa ustads,Aligarh university communal grants,special scholarships for muslim students etc go unquestioned.Whatever the allegations on BSY,I am with you Mr.Yedi now and forever.You have shown a rare moment of guts by a Hindu leader. 5
