Hindu Temples for Hindus - Hindu Munnani chief Ramgopalan
06/02/2010 13:43:52  HK

Tirunelveli: In the wake of Tamilnadu Deputy Chief Minister Stalin’s voluntary pledge to Muslim community that “Government will never encroach properties belonging to Mosque or Wakf Board“,  Hindu munnani leader Shri Ramagopalan urged Hindu Soceity to demand the recovery of  various encroached properties belonging to Hindu temples.

Despite lots of properties belonging to Hindu temples have been illegally encroached by various people and Government itself , no such efforts are being initiated by government or by Hindu religious affairs board that controls the Hindu temples. On one side Government take control of Hindu Temples , its properties and the offerings made by Hindu devotees and on other side keeps mum on issues related to development of Temples and support vested interests to destroy Temples and Temple properties. A Secular Government who give full freedom to Muslims and Christians for practicing their religion and controlling religious places is discriminating Hindus from their right to worship and administer temples.   He demanded complete transfer of Hindu temples to the hands of Hindu devotees and disperse Hindu Religious affair board.

Hindu munnani will conduct state wide protest on Mahasivarathry day against those illegally occupied Government controlled temples and encroachment of Temple lands. He also demanded  State Holiday on the day of Mahasivarathry.

Temples in tamil nadu
But whatever we shout, we will not be able to win, unless, we, unite.
In Thirukazhukundram, near Mahabalipuram, Lord Velliangereeswarar is presiding deity in the local shiva temple. Its lands are occupied for building big bazaars (to be let out for muslim traders)by the government of tamil nadu. No compensations has been given, so far. There is a proposal to construct judicial magistrate courts in the said temple land. Who will stop?

Next,in Kancheepuram town, there is a temple for Lord Vikrama (famously called as ooragathan koil). When, recently, the hereditary trustee died, the government appointed a temporary E.O., and he threatened the widow of the trustee, got the keys, and emptied the hundial. The annual festival to begin on Thai Punarvasu, not started, due to paucity of funds. When the people started questioning, he simply, gave Rs.1 lakh and asked the priests to organise the festival. No body even at Kancheepuram town, united and fought the situation. Why?
The hindus should remember one thing. First, irrespective of caste, be unite, second, unless otherwise, the festivals are properly conducted, the Tamil Nadu shall never develop, nay, even, India shall never develop and prosper.

teach the gov a lesson ! Support Hindu temples !
Good to see that Haindava Keralam is taking up this matter - most media avoid it !

I strongly support the idea of not giving a penny to the Gov controlled temples. Always support the non-gov temples, give money direct to priests and support Hindu NGOs.

Pls read my article - http://www.pushti-marg.net/bhagwat/save-temple.htm

Hindu temples for Hindus.
My humble 'pranaams' to Ramagopalanji!Inspite of his advanced age(he is 80!), he is outspoken against the injustice to the hindus.Like Sri Sankar said, I also give money only to poor priests or to privately-run temples, and never give any money to Govt-usurped temples.

The so called H(J)indus should be ashamed of themselves for dumping crores of rupees in the hundies in sabarimala only to divert it to the non believers (kommunists and other religions.)

40 acres mangala aarathi!!
TN goons quietly appropriated 40 acres of Temple land in Nemmeli village on the Eastcoast road- a posh area worth over 300 crores
for a drinking water treatment plant without even an acknowledgement! Who will object, who will fight?

hindu temples for hingus
whenever i go to a temple i offer money to the poor priest only. money dropped in to hundi does neither reach the temple nor hindus in need. it is gobbled up by corrupt administrators and rest will go to non hindus. so I either pay to non-govt trusts or priests. at least they will perform puja with honesty.

Hindus must form and support organisations like Hindu Aikya Vedi
He is also pampering the minority communities. Hindus have to unite and agitate to protect their faith, practices and properties. Governments do not interfere with other religious groups because they are united and deal with the government in the appropriate manner. Hindus are divided on the basis of castes and they have organizations to advance their concerns and their demands. Each such organization has venomous attitude towards other communities. Communities which are perceived as forward class must establish contact with other organizations to improve their job prospects, economic advancement and social dignity. They do not have the economic wherewithal at this point of time, but at least they can organize voluntary efforts to spread the concept that only by economic development of the entire nation, each community can progress. Hindu Aikya Vedi is trying to do a good job at least in Kerala.
