94 Catholic sex abusers in Germany: Report

BERLIN: The German news magazine Der Spiegel reports that the number of sexual abuse cases in Germany by Catholic clerics and laymen is much higher than was previously thought.

According to a poll by Spiegel, answered by 27 Catholic dioceses in Germany, more than 94 clerics and laymen have been suspected of sexual abuse since 1995. Only 30 have been prosecuted, due to the statute of limitations.

Ten employees of the Catholic church are currently accused of sexual abuse in Germany.

Germany has been shocked by revelations of serial sex abuse by Catholic priests in recent weeks. More than 20 alumni of Berlin's prestigious Canisius Kolleg have reported abuse by their former Jesuit teachers. Other students have also reported cases in cities across Germany where the priests also taught.

Dan Roger 07/02/2010 18:36:06	It is a good thing It is a good thing to investigate sex abuse charges. God has high standards. Rape and child abuse are always wrong and should be punished. The offenders should repent and be removed from the religious offices for as long as necessary to prove themselves safe and moral again. Maybe that will never happen. If not, they bear the penalty themselves. God still disciplines and punishes sin in the lives of Chrsitians too.

Finally when the truths about oppressions,atrocities etc are brought to light , the so called impotent leader would merely give an apology in the name of JESUS CHRIST . This cult keep propagating that Jesus died for the sins of human and as long as one believe in JESUS , there is no problem , you may simply accuse this poor Jesus Christ . What an illogical belief ? As long as the natures rule "Each and every action has equal and opposite reaction" is true , everyone would be paid for their deeds . SIN is not a verbal commitment , it is the result of an evil thought . So Mind is doing sin . In Ramayana it's said "Manah Krutham Krutham Rama" Mind is doing the sin . As long as one's mind is not clean , he will keep committing the sin. What is soft Hindutva? Hindutva itself is soft. Had it not been soft and flexible, no other religion would have entered our country. Softness, compassion and mobility is the philosophy of Hindutva. What is hard Hindutva? I don't know.
